This policy explains how information is handled when you visit eduarddziak.com or contact me directly.

Who is responsible for this website

This website is operated by Eduard Dziak in a personal capacity. There is currently no separate legal entity operating the website.

The production website uses CookieYes to show the cookie banner, remember your choices, and keep a consent record. Optional analytics is denied unless you choose to accept it. You can reject analytics and still use the whole website.

You can reopen the preference panel at any time through Cookie settings in the website footer. Withdrawing consent stops future optional analytics. You can also clear cookies through your browser.

CookieYes is a consent-management service provided by CookieYes Limited. Its own privacy policy explains how it handles information.

Website analytics

If you accept analytics, the production website may use Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to understand how people find and use the site. This may include pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser information, referral source, and interactions with the site.

The production website may also use Microsoft Clarity after analytics consent. Clarity provides heatmaps and session recordings that help identify usability problems. These can show interactions such as clicks, scrolling, navigation, and how a page is used. This website does not contain an account area. Its only form is the feedback form on the structured data reports, described below, and what you type there is not joined to analytics.

If you accept analytics, the website also sends Clarity a label describing the kind of page you are viewing, such as a blog post or the contact page, and records when someone selects the email link, the LinkedIn link, the feed link, or another link leaving this website. These records describe the action only. They do not include your name, your email address, anything you type, or any identifier chosen to recognise you personally. The website does not use Clarity’s custom identifier feature.

Analytics is configured for the live eduarddziak.com domain only. Local development, staging, Cloudflare preview deployments, and pages.dev addresses are excluded. Advertising storage and advertising use are not enabled.

Contacting me

This website does not use a general contact form. The structured data reports carry a small feedback form, described in the next section. If you contact me by email or LinkedIn, I will receive the information you choose to provide through those services. I use it only to read and respond to your message and to continue the conversation where appropriate.

Please do not send sensitive personal information through email or LinkedIn.

Feedback form

The structured data report pages include a small form for suggesting improvements. If you use it, I receive the message you wrote, the page it was sent from, and the time it arrived. An email address is included only if you choose to give one, and I use it only to reply to you.

Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a submission comes from a person rather than an automated script. Cloudflare processes the request in the same way it processes every other request to this Cloudflare-hosted website, and its privacy policy explains how it handles information.

Submissions are stored as private entries in a private repository I keep on GitHub, so any email address you choose to give is held there as well. I read them to improve the reports, keep them only as long as they are needed for that, never sell them, and never join them to website analytics. GitHub is a service provided by GitHub, Inc., and its privacy statement explains how it handles information. The form itself adds no cookies and no tracking identifiers.

Cookies

The informational website does not require an account or use cookies for login. CookieYes uses a necessary cookie to remember your consent choice. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may use cookies or similar technologies only after you accept analytics.

I do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers needed to operate the website, manage consent, provide analytics, handle email, or support LinkedIn communications. Information is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed for its purpose or where retention is required.

Your choices

You can reject optional analytics through the cookie banner and change that choice later through Cookie settings in the footer. You can also use browser controls to limit or delete cookies and can choose not to send information by email or LinkedIn. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the website’s functionality or the services it uses change. The date at the top will show the latest revision.
